The Syrian civilian war has gotten completely out of hand. The country has seen a lot of civilian deaths and destruction of property.
There are rebel camps in Syria that have been seriously targeted by the Syrian government and any attempts to bring this stalemate to an end has not born any fruits. But this is not happening and the end results are tons of detainees jailed unfairly and who are undergoing extreme physical, sexual and emotional abuse behind bars. Syria also has desolate cities that are now covered with debris and dead besides where there once was life and beauty. The few Syrian civilians who manage to get away are now refugees in other countries with nothing to call their own.
What Iran has been doing on the other hand, however, is to train, fund and offer weaponry to terror groups while offering them shelter. Any interference by other countries and humanitarian bodies has been ignored. It hasn’t come out too clearly why Iran is doing this but it is a badly kept secret. The US government has tried unsuccessfully to get involved in stopping these vices but without much luck. All that everyone knows for now is that Iran has been arming itself for years and that it has heavy and high end weaponry in its possession.
Throughout the Syrian civilian war, Iran has supported the Iranian government under President Assad’s reign. Without this support, Assad’s regime would not be what it is today, it would have probably fallen. Iran worked hard to provide whatever the government needed to fight against the rebels in Syria just so that the government is not overthrown. She has even help Syria train an army of 50,000 soldiers that will help protect the government from the rebels.
When the war just started, Iran helped the government fight but only by offering training for the regime force and also giving them intelligence. After a while, Iran escalated its support by actually sending their own troops to fight in the Syrian civil war. Iran has also helped Syria build its chemical weapons. Iranian scientists were sent to Syria and they were given chemicals they would use to build those chemical weapons.
Because the rebels have taken most of the Iranians cities and boundaries captive, Iran can only use the Syrian air corridor to get the arms into Syria. Iran and Syria have worked to create a safe corridor where they transport these arms. The US government has allowed only three airlines to get these weapons from Iran to Syria. Turkish authorities have stopped trucks that were headed for Syria and found them carrying loads of arms for example machine guns and ammunition.
